Eclipse is a dynamic and welcoming sailing community rooted in inclusivity, love for the water, and strong community spirit. We offer engaging training sessions on J/24 boats designed for both current enthusiasts and aspiring sailors. As we continue to grow, we’re on the lookout for charismatic, client-focused instructors to become part of our crew.

Position Summary

Eclipse is looking for a friendly, reliable Dock Hand to join our team at The Wharf Marina. You’ll be the first point of contact for sailors arriving at the dock — welcoming guests, assisting with check-in and check-out, and helping with the initial orientation. Flexible shifts available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome skippers and crew upon arrival

  • Conduct check-in and check-out procedures for Eclipse Sail sessions

  • Assist with preparing boats for departure and docking upon return

  • Lead brief on-dock orientation to familiarize new sailors with the club operations and policies

  • Provide shore-side coordination and assistance

  • Communicate feedback to instructors and club staff to ensure safety and proper boat access

  • Maintain boat/dock tidiness and report any maintenance needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly and professional demeanor

  • Strong communication and observation skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends

  • Additional:

    • Sailing or boating experience is plus, but not required

    • Experience with minor boat maintenance is a plus, but not required
