Eclipse LLC (“Eclipse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://eclipsesail.com and provides instructor‑guided sailing experiences and bareboat charters. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.   • Customers who book or attend any Eclipse sailing experience

  • Audiences who interact with our online ads (Instagram, Google Ads, TikTok, Reddit, Yelp, X, etc.)

It does not apply to third‑party websites we link to; those sites are governed by their own privacy notices.

    Collected at booking, newsletter sign‑up, phone calls, or SMS opt‑in

  • Transaction details — experience chosen, booking date & time, number of guests, voucher codes

  • Payment metadata — last four digits of card, card type, transaction ID (full card data handled by Wix Payments)

  • Waiver & safety information — answers to pre‑sail questions (e.g., swimming ability, medical concerns), electronic signature, IP address, timestamp

  • Communications — emails, texts, voicemails, chat messages, survey responses

 
2.2  Information Collected Automatically

  • Call metadata (date, time, caller ID, and call recordings) for quality assurance and training

By providing a mobile number you consent to receive SMS or MMS messages about bookings, safety updates, service notices, and occasional promotions. Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply.

  2. Safety & compliance — maintain guest manifest, verify waiver completion, satisfy USCG and DC Harbor Patrol requirements

  3. Customer communications — send reminders, weather updates, itinerary changes, and post‑sail follow‑ups by email, SMS, or phone

  4. Marketing (with consent) — send promotional emails or texts when you opt in (you may opt out at any time)

  5. Improve our site & services — analyze traffic and usage to refine content, pricing, and advertising

  6. Legal reasons — detect fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, or comply with court orders and tax obligations

  7. AI‑assisted customer service — draft support replies with OpenAI; human staff review all messages before they are sent

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

  • OpenAI — AI‑assisted customer‑service drafting (USA)

  • Marketing & analytics providers (Google, Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Yelp, X) — ad delivery and performance measurement (global)

  • Contract instructors — guest manifest and safety info (USA)

  • Government authorities — where required by law (e.g., DC Harbor Patrol passenger lists)

  • Professional advisors — accounting, legal, insurance (USA)

  • Twilio & mobile carriers — SMS/MMS delivery and voice calls (global)

All service providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

 

6  International Data Transfers

 

Our headquarters is in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred to—and stored on—servers located in the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and similar safeguards where required by law.

 

7  Cookies & Similar Technologies

 

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and local storage to:

  • Marketing consents — until you unsubscribe + 30 days

  • Cookie identifiers — up to 13 months (unless you clear cookies sooner)

  • Call recordings — 6 months (quality assurance)

10  Security Measures

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including:

  • TLS encryption in transit

  • PCI‑DSS‑compliant payment processing via Wix Payments

  • Role‑based access controls for staff and contractors

  • Regular security‑awareness training

11  Children’s Privacy

​

Our on‑the‑water experiences are intended for guests aged 10 and older. All bookings for minors must be made by, and all waivers signed by, a parent or legal guardian aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data without your consent, contact privacy@eclipsesail.com so we can delete it.

12  Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above and, if changes are material, provide a prominent notice on the site or via email.
