Policy
Version 1.0
Effective Date: July 25, 2025

Everyone participating in Eclipse activities must comply with the following Policy.

Weather & Captain’s Discretion
Eclipse may cancel, shorten, or postpone any outing when sustained wind reaches 20 knots or more, the heat-index exceeds 103 °F, lightning is seen with thunder inside 30 seconds, visibility drops below one nautical mile, the Air-Quality Index is 150 (“Unhealthy”) or higher, or whenever the captain decides conditions are unsafe. Guests will be notified by e-mail, phone or in-person as reasonably possible (including right on the dock, at the scheduled departure time, or during a session) and may choose a full refund or a complimentary reschedule.

Rain on its own is usually not a reason to cancel a session.

Life-Jackets Rule
Every person on board — crew and guests alike — must wear a properly fastened U.S. Coast Guard–approved PFD from the moment they leave the dock until they return.

Kids on Board
-
Minimum guest age is 10 years.
-
Any child aged 10–13 must sail with one dedicated supervising adult and there must be one additional adult who is not supervising a child.
-
A parent or legal guardian must sign the minor’s (17y.o. and under) waiver before boarding.

Cancellations & Changes
Guests may cancel or reschedule without penalty up to 48 hours before departure. Inside the 48-hour window, guest-initiated cancellations are neither refund nor credit guaranteed.
When Eclipse cancels for weather or safety, guests choose between a full refund and a free reschedule.
Captain (Instructor) can make a sole decision to restrict and/or limit guest’s access to the boat or to a certain activity on board for safety reasons.

Alcohol & Conduct
No alcohol, drugs, or smoking are permitted aboard. Disruptive or impaired parties will be returned to the dock without refund.
Attire – everyone should wear attire appropriate to the outdoor physical activity and weather conditions, including: non-slip non‑marking footwear; sun and heat protection; rain and wind protection; hand protection (gloves).
Guests must follow all lawful instructions of the Instructor/Captain. Disruptive or impaired parties may be returned to the dock without refund.
All guests must stay alert, exercise safe behavior and caution while in the marina, boarding/off-boarding, on-board and remain in the boat at all times.

Accessibility & Inclusion
E-mail at least 24 hours ahead for mobility or sensory accommodations; Eclipse will confirm arrangements in writing and make every reasonable effort to provide safe access for all participants.
